Laboratory
Metallurgical tests include tensile and yield strengths, ductility, Charpy
v-notch impact, hardness, and bend test for weld procedure
qualification. Equipment requiring calibration is in accordance with
NIST. The metallurgical laboratory does analysis on
castings and materials. An emission spectrograph is used to perform
an analysis on each heat of metal. |
